Established in 1931, Takamiya Ryokan Sansorai continues the tradition of heartfelt hospitality in Kaminoyama Onsen.Nestled among rice fields and watched over by the Zao mountain range,this single-story ryokan offers a serene retreat in harmony with nature.
Savor local harvests and fine sake, soak in natural hot springs flowing from the source, and unwind in a garden visited by songbirds—a stay where you can feel the spirit of Yamagata through all five senses.
Within the single-story ryokan are two wings — “Kijine” and “Kiyose” — each offering views of a traditional Japanese garden that changes with the seasons.
Guest rooms include suites with private open-air hot spring baths, Japanese-style rooms with in-room hot springs, and classic tatami rooms that preserve the charm of the original Mikiya.
